Boston police arrested the adopted son of a West Roxbury man found killed in his home Friday morning, said Jake Wark, spokesman for the Suffolk County district attorney’s office.
Mark Regan, 33, of West Roxbury, was arrested on a single count of murder in connection with the death of his 66-year-old adoptive father, also named Mark Regan, Wark said. Boston homicide detectives arrested the younger Regan either late Friday night or early Saturday morning, Wark said.
Police responding to a wellness call at the older Regan’s home at 105 Perham St. in West Roxbury discovered his body at around 8:26 a.m. Friday.
“There does not appear to be a public safety threat,” Wark said. “The incident is not believed to be random.”
Regan is expected to be arraigned Monday in West Roxbury Municipal Court.
