Matthew Barrett thought he had found his dream job.
The Dorchester resident, who had worked in the food industry for two decades, said he was offered a job in July as food services director at Fontbonne Academy, a Roman Catholic-inspired secondary school in Milton. He accepted the job right away.
But the dream soon faded. Barrett, 43, said the offer was rescinded only two days later – once the school’s headmaster realized he had listed his husband as his emergency contact on paperwork he was asked to fill out after the job offer, according to a complaint he plans to file today with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
