Easton police are trying to identify a man who they say robbed two gas stations, in Easton and Stoughton, within 15 minutes of each other Tuesday night.
Easton police responded at 5:20 p.m. to reports of an armed robbery at a Mobil station on Foundry Street, Easton Police Chief Allen Krajcik said.
“He displayed a gun and went to the cash registers to take out cash,” Krajcik said. The suspect then fled behind the store, where police believe he had a car parked.
About 15 minutes later, a second robbery was reported by Stoughton police at a Mobil station at Cobbs Corner. Their suspect’s description matched that of the robbery in Easton, Krajcik said.
Surveillance camera images from both gas stations show a black male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, wearing all black clothing, and a black ski mask.
“It appears to be the same person,” Krajcik said. Easton police detectives are leading the investigation.
