A cracking rock face in West Roxbury caused “enormous boulders” to fall on the street below, State Police said. Calls were received Tuesday night saying that rocks were falling on a section of Centre Street near Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, said Lieutenant Dan Richard, a State Police spokesman. When troopers arrived, they found that heavy equipment was needed to remove the boulders. The state Department of Conservation and Recreation maintains the area and will clean up the debris, said Richard. No injuries were reported.
