Postponed by bad weather, the opening reception for “Faces of Lexington,” an exhibition of 37 photographs featuring local residents in honor of the town’s 300th anniversary, has been rescheduled for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cary Memorial Library, 1874 Massachusetts Ave. The photos, on display in the library’s Pierce and Meeting Room galleries through Jan. 31, are the work of Lexington resident Damian Strohmeyer, a professional photographer known for his Sports Illustrated covers. Strohmeyer volunteered in mid-2012 to create portraits celebrating and illustrating life in the community. The display’s subjects include the descendent of a Revolutionary War soldier, a 16-year-old skateboarding enthusiast, and a family of Chinese immigrants.
