Boston’s Forest Hills Cemetery, the final resting place of prominent Dedham figures such as Dedham Pottery president Hugh Robertson, artists Philip and Lilian Hale, and industrialist Henry Bradford Endicott, will be the subject of a talk at the Dedham Historical Society & Museum.
Cemeteries are significant historical resources, historian and author Anthony Sammarco said last week. Forest Hills Cemetery is one of “the richest overlays on 170 years of history both for well-known people and for all the others who simply lived and loved and died,” he said.
Sammarco, a former Milton resident who has written more than 60 books on Greater Boston history including a recent bestseller on the Howard Johnson’s restaurant chain, will speak on the large, beautifully designed, and still active cemetery at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 21.
