Walpole School Superintendent Lincoln D. Lynch III started the new school year with a new six-year contract — continuing the family business of education leadership.
Lynch’s father and grandfather both were superintendents — in Middleborough and Norwood, respectively. Ditto for his brother, Thomas, who heads the Berkley-Somerset regional school district.
Another brother, Brian, is principal of a Bridgewater elementary school, and was named the 2013 “Principal of the Year” by the Massachusetts Elementary Schools Principals’ Association.
His mother was a teacher, before having seven children in nine years, as was his grandmother, who was in the first graduating class of women from what was then Bridgewater State College.
Did we mention that two of Lynch’s sisters are also in education, his wife teaches at Framingham State, and his son, Lincoln, is the business manager for the special education Charms Collaborative in Stoughton?
