A fire caused significant damage to a Bryant Street home last week and remains under investigation, according to fire officials. Firefighters arrived at 426 Bryant St. shortly after 12:30 a.m. last Monday to find heavy fire engulfing one side of the home and construction materials that had been left in the yard, Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Finn said. The fire appeared to have started outside the Cape-style home and spread inside, causing significant smoke damage and destroying an enclosed porch. It took about 30 minutes to knock down the blaze. No one was home at the time of the fire, Finn said.
