Police search for suspect responsible for assaults on students in Brighton

Boston police are searching for a suspect involved in a recent string of assaults against female students in the Ashford Street area of Brighton.

In the past six weeks, the suspect has been responsible for five assaults against women, police said.

Police said the suspect is targeting women wearing skirts. In each incident, the suspect has pushed the victim to the ground and used his iPhone to take a photo under the victim’s skirt.

The most recent attack happened Nov. 6 and the attacks occur between the hours of midnight and 2 a.m., police said.

The assailant is described as a thin or average-build white or light-skinned Hispanic male between the ages of 19 to 30.

Boston police are asking for the public’s help in their investigation and anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 617-343-4256.
