The Peking University Collegiate Eights crew was in Brighton to prepare for this weekend's Head of the Charles Regatta.

MIT grad student Amy Sun, who has rowing experience and speaks fluent Mandarin, was pressed into service today after one of Peking's rowers couldn't get into the country.

Tonight's race between the English and American collegiate crews will be the first time the regatta is held under the lights.
