Today was the first Bike Friday event in the Boston area. The event, which aims to encourage biking to work, will happen again on Friday, Aug. 22. Cyclists from all parts of the city as well as the suburbs joined in to promote bike usage, and all groups converged at the terminus in Boston City Hall Plaza.
