Ever wonder what it would be like to sit perched at the top of one of the Zakim Bridge’s iconic white towers?
Wonder no longer. This striking video, posted on YouTube Friday, appears to show a rope access technician conducting an Oct. 1 inspection of the bridge’s north tower from about 325 feet in the air.
At about three minutes and 50 seconds into the video, the technician with the camera attached to his helmet looks down at the bridge’s signature blue lights — a phalanx of white cables and the highway’s eight lanes stretch out below him — and declares, “Good view.”
Couldn’t agree with him more.
