A new stone wall and landscaped island are taking shape at the Mansfield Green Recycling Center as part of efforts by the Keep Mansfield Beautiful Committee. When the project is complete in the spring, the green will feature a 40-foot stone wall and an island with a birch tree, shrubs, and flowers. This will enhance last year’s plantings of rhododendron and mountain laurel. “This project has been on our to-do list for some time, so we’re really excited to finally see it come to fruition,” said Neil Rhein, executive director of Keep Mansfield Beautiful. “We hope it inspires businesses and residents in the community to beautify their own properties and take greater pride in the appearance of our town.”
