A study of downtown development options in Millis is underway. A Downtown Steering Committee has been appointed by the Board of Selectmen to work with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council’s Sustainable Development Consortium on the study. The committee will help manage a grant of nearly $40,000 from the Sustainable Communities Consortium, which will assist the town in conducting a marketing feasibility study and create options for future developments downtown. The committee is concentrating on the site of the former GAF manufacturing facility on Union Street and the Ann and Hope parcels on Main Street. - Derek McLean
