Sustainable Arlington is working to encourage residents to take part in the Home Energy Check Campaign running through the end of June. The campaign seeks to spread the word about free energy assessments available through the Mass Save program, an initiative sponsored by Massachusetts gas and electric utilities and energy-efficiency service providers. The home assessment will include a detailed report of work done along with a list of recommended actions, such as installing additional insulation or replacing an appliance. The report will also help residents find rebates to make recommended changes more affordable, according to Sustainable Arlington. More information can be found online at www.massclimateaction.net.
