The national economy is in a downturn and possibly a recession. To understand how this affects communities south of Boston, Globe South talked with Peter V. Forman, president of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. Forman, 49, a Plymouth resident, has been president of the 2,500-member business organization for the past three years.
