It was the end of the second period of the high school hockey game and visiting Amesbury was trailing archrival Newburyport, 5-0, when debris, including golf balls and squid, rained down on the ice, forcing Amesbury to forfeit the game. The outburst has prompted a police investigation and left school officials furious at the behavior of the rowdy Amesbury fans. (Full article: 468 words)
