It may be the hottest race that most voters don't know about. Next November, Middlesex County is poised to elect a new district attorney. Martha Coakley, the Medford Democrat who has held the position since 1999, plans to run for Attorney General Thomas F. Reilly's seat if, as expected, Reilly enters the race for governor.
