Care could be disrupted for many of the nation's 1.6 million nursing home residents, including about 43,000 in Massachusetts, when the new Medicare drug benefit takes effect in January, advocates and doctors say. The federal government acknowledges that many residents will have to switch from medicines that are working well to less expensive or different drugs. (Full article: 898 words)
