About 5,000 Massachusetts students with severe disabilities sidestep the MCAS test each year and try to prove what they know by submitting samples of their schoolwork. Few of these students, however, succeed in earning diplomas with the testing alternative that is used only in Massachusetts. (Full Article: 1187 Words)
