With Kristin Chenoweth, it’s business as usual at annual BSO fund-raiser

The corporate crowd managed to loosen up a little Thursday at “A Company Christmas at Pops,” the annual Boston Symphony Orchestra fund-raiser attended by local businesspeople and their well-heeled guests. Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth joined conductor Keith Lockhart and the Pops to perform a selection of holiday tunes, and Mayor Tom Menino narrated “ ’Twas the Night Before Christmas” as only he can. The event, co-chaired by David Long of Liberty Mutual Insurance and Putnam Investments poobah Robert Reynolds, also included a cameo by Red Sox (and Boston Globe) owner John Henry, who took to the podium to conduct the orchestra on “Sleigh Ride.”
