After a 10-year absence from Boston, illusionists Penn & Teller are expected to reappear for two shows at the Citi Shubert Theatre Jan. 24 and 25. Importantly, the gigs represent the first collaboration between the Citi Center and Caesars Entertainment, which is hoping to build a casino at Suffolk Downs. The two entities are partnering “to expand arts education and community programs and provide broader entertainment choices” in Boston, according to a press release. In other words, expect to see more Caesars headliners in the Hub. It’s a homecoming of sorts for Penn Jillette, who grew up in Greenfield, and non-talker Teller, who attended Amherst College.
