A 19-year-old Easton man was arraigned Monday after allegedly breaking into a home over the weekend while completely naked, officials said.
Tyreke Monterio-Richards was arraigned in Taunton District Court on charges of breaking and entering and indecent exposure. His plea was not immediately available, but he is set to return to court Dec. 31 for a pretrial conference, said a spokeswoman from the court.
At around 6 a.m. Saturday morning, the naked teenager wandered into a home on Seaver Street in Easton through an unlocked door, said Easton Police Chief Allen Krajcik.
Monterio-Richards went upstairs and turned on a light in the bedroom, shocking the homeowners. They yelled at him to leave, and Monterio-Richards complied, Krajcik said.
Police were able to track down Monterio-Richards on Elliot Circle, a nearby street. He was apprehended, still in the nude, Krajcik said.
Monterio-Richards told police he does not remember what happened and does not know why he entered the home, according to Krajcik.
