Police seek scissors-wielding man who stabbed seat on bus

Police are looking for a man who stabbed a bus seat with scissors, officials said.

The man was on a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority bus at the intersection of Washington Street and West Roxbury Parkway in Roslindale at around 6:44 p.m. Monday. A customer reported that the man was stabbing the bus seat with scissors and then put the scissors near his own head and neck, said MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo.

The bus driver pulled over and called police, Pesaturo said.

When police arrived, the man was gone. He was last seen in front of a nearby Burger King restaurant, Pesaturo said.

No one was injured.
