A 31-year-old male dancer who performed at a private party in Wareham on Tuesday is now under arrest, accused of sexually assaulting two women he had been hired to entertain, officials said.
Patrick Ladapo of Providence pleaded not guilty today in Wareham District Court to two counts of rape and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14, said Bridget Norton Middleton, a spokeswoman for the Plymouth district attorney.
Ladapo was ordered held on $20,000 cash bail, ordered to surrender his passport if he has one, and ordered to have no contact with the victims. He returns to court Sept. 26 for a probable cause hearing, Middleton said.
According to police, Ladapo was arrested late Wednesday.
Ladapo is employed by Blaze Entertainment, based in Boston, and was using the stage name “Damion” at a private party in Wareham on Tuesday, police said.
A 21-year-old reported to police Wednesday that she had been assaulted at the party. Police began an investigation and found that a 27-year-old woman also reported being assaulted at the party, the statement said.
The names of the women are being withheld by Wareham police and the Globe does not publish the names of alleged sexual assault victims.
