Showers, thunderstorms to be followed by dry, pleasant weather

Showers and a few thunderstorms are likely through Wednesday, but dry, pleasant weather will follow later into the weekend, forecasters said.

Clouds will give way to mostly sunny skies this afternoon, with highs around 80 degrees. Dew points will remain high, in the mid-60s to lower 70s. Any leftover storms should dissipate entirely by sunset, though muggy conditions will persist into Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.

Wednesday will be partly sunny, with highs near 77. Isolated showers are possible during the day, but most regions should remain dry. Temperatures will moderate into the 60s overnight, but humidity levels will remain high.

Thursday will see a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m., and fog will blanket much of the state. Temperatures won’t crest above 80, but dew points will again be high.

On Friday, skies will become partly sunny, and temperatures will climb near 80, according to the Weather Service. Dew points will also moderate into the 50s, ushering in more comfortable weather for the weekend.

Saturday and Sunday will see mostly sunny skies, with temperatures around 82. Rain is not expected, and humidity levels won’t be excessive.
