A 26-year-old Pawtucket, R.I., man arrested this weekend in Attleboro was found to have more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood, authorities said.
Joseph Ciesynski, 26, from Pawtucket, R.I., was arrested after a patrol officer noticed him driving his 2005 gray Toyota through a red light at 1:19 a.m. Saturday, according to Attleboro Police Sergeant Arthur Brillon.
Ciesynski’s blood alcohol level was 0.27 percent. The legal limit is 0.8 percent. He was also traveling at a high rate of speed, said Brillon. He was charged with operating under the influence and also with negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
Ciesynski was arraigned Monday and pleaded not guilty, according to Bristol district attorney’s spokesman Gregg Miliote. He is due back in court Aug. 26.
