Boston police responded to two separate shootings in the city’s neighborhoods late Saturday night.
A man with gunshot wounds was found outside a single-family home at 321 Wood Ave. in Hyde Park, according to Boston Police Superintendent Kevin J. Buckley. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, he said.
Buckley said a sports utility vehicle was sprayed with a round of gunfire near the scene and a suspect may have been seen heading down River Street away from the scene.
Meanwhile, one person was shot in Dorchester late Saturday night, Boston police said. Police did not immediately have information on the gender of the victim or the extent of the injuries.
At midnight, Dorchester Avenue was blocked off by crime scene tape between Kimball and Ellsworth streets outside the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center.
At least a half-dozen police cruisers were visible at the scene, alongside several unmarked radio cars.
