He is usually armed with a small handgun, usually threatens tellers, and over the last three months, he has allegedly robbed seven Merrimack Valley banks.
This spate of robberies in the northeast corner of the state has inspired the FBI to dub him the “Merrimack Valley Bandit” and law enforcement is now asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
The bandit has targeted banks in Lawrence, Methuen, Dracut, and Groveland since February, armed with the handgun he usually points at tellers, according to the FBI.
The FBI is offering up to $10,000 reward for information leading directly to his arrest. The “bandit’’ is considered armed and dangerous.
The suspect by the FBI as a white male less than 6 feet tall with thin eyebrows and may use accomplices using a white or light-colored car to help him escape.
