Man injured when his car crashes into building in Hyde Park, Fire Department says

A car crashed into a building in Hyde Park late Tuesday night, sending the driver to the hospital, according to the Boston Fire Department.

The vehicle crashed into a one-story building at 1154 River St. at about 10:30 p.m., said Fire spokesman Steve MacDonald.

The driver was out of the car when firefighters arrived on scene and he was transported to a local hospital, MacDonald said.

A building inspector was called to determine if the crash caused structural damage to the building, he also said.
