Two people were injured in a two-alarm house fire in Kingston this morning that caused $250,000 in damage, the Kingston Fire Department said.
Around 5 a.m., firefighters found the two-story home on Country Way that was “well involved with fire,” Kingston Fire Chief Robert T. Heath said in a statement.
The Duxbury, Pembroke, and Halifax fire departments also responded to the blaze, which was knocked down in about an hour.
Only one family lived in the home. Both occupants were taken to a local hospital for treatment, the fire department said. Their conditions weren’t immediately available.
The cause of the fire is unknown. It is still under investigation by the Kingston Fire Department and the state fire marshal’s office.
