A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the recent string of armed robberies near Boston University, Brookline police said today.
The first arrest was made Thursday when a juvenile suspect voluntarily turned himself in to the police.
Four armed robberies occurred on streets surrounding the university’s campus between Sept. 23 and Tuesday. Most of the victims were BU students. In each incident, the robbers were described as two or three black males in their late teens or early 20s and had shown or pointed a gun at the victims.
On Wednesday, BU offered a $10,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest and conviction for the robberies.
