Catherine Greig, James “Whitey” Bulger’s long-time girlfriend, has paid her fine, according to court records.
Federal court records indicate that Greig made a $150,063.44 payment on Friday.
In mid-June, Greig was sentenced to eight years in prison for helping the notorious gangster evade capture for 16 years.
Her lawyer told reporters after the sentencing that she remained devoted to Bulger, who faces charges that include 19 murders, and did not believe he was capable of such horrible crimes.
US District Judge Douglas P. Woodlock, in addition to the prison sentence, imposed a $150,000 fine.
Greig is currently serving her sentence at the federal prison in Waseca, a low-security facility for women in southern Minnesota, 75 miles south of Minneapolis, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website.
