Three injured in Turnpike crash in Charlton

Three people were injured in a one-car rollover crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike westbound in Charlton late this morning, State Police said.

Troopers arrived on the scene at 11:13 a.m. and requested medical helicopters for two of the car’s occupants, who were suffering from serious and life-threatening injuries, State Police said. The third person was transported by ambulance to nearby Charlton Hospital. No further information was available on the victims.

State Police are still investigating the crash, which delayed traffic as far back as Exit 10, the Auburn/Worcester exit. As of 1:12 p.m., only the right and breakdown lanes were open.
