Members also have to agree to get their hands dirty by contributing their labor to some of the many public gardens the club helps to maintain, including the gardens at the Old North Church, the Boston Common, the Boston Public Library, and Codman Traffic Island (at left).

All proceeds from the tour help to fund those projects and 30 local, regional, and national civic and environmental causes.
