One of the goals I listed off in my recent post of 13 things I'd like to do this year was to "Run more. Laugh more. With friends."
To achieve that goal, I did what every good and resolute person would do: Conned unsuspecting friends/coworkers into running a 5K with me. Not just any 5K either: One of them has never run a race before, while the other hasn't run a race in a good 15 years. I told them I would help them stick with this thing called running, and that we'd document my
punishing helping them along the way on the blog all in the name of good, clean, healthy fun. Yes, being healthy can actually be fun, folks (who knew?!).
The Adams will be featured regularly for a while until their race with yours truly on March 9. You can follow their progress and my attempts to motivate them here on the blog as well as by using the hashtag #ProjectAdam (you can tell I count these guys as friends at work when they get their very own hashtag).

Why you want to run a 5K with BeWell: Because I've never run one before …and so she'll stop hounding me about it.
Any running experience? I started running in July of 2011. I take a three-mile run two to three times a week.
Did you make any resolutions this year? If so what were they? No official resolutions, just a renewed commitment to make healthy, more balanced choices. More salad, less beer. Whiskey stays the same.
What’s your goal for this race? Where it's my first 5K, I don't have any context as far as how long it should take me. As long as I'm not the last one to cross the finish line, I'll be happy.
Green eggs and ham or just green eggs or just ham? Green egg whites and ham.
If you could only take one thing on a deserted island with you, what would it be? Trick question: if I'm on the island, it's no longer deserted.
Do you think you can handle BeWell’s training/tutelage? I welcome it with open arms!

Ran Track/X-Country in high school. Six 5Ks over the last decade and on-again/off-again commitment to "get back to my running roots".
Did you make any resolutions this year? If so what were they?
Just to do something I want to do and do some things I enjoy. If it happens to be both (running), then even better.
What’s your goal for this race?
Ideally, I'd love to see myself do it under 25 minutes. Insanely, I'd love to do it in about 18 minutes.

Do you think you can handle BeWell’s training/tutelage?
I haven't wanted to throttle BeWell yet, so I think so.
What’s one thing people should know about you?
I was taught that the finish line is never the finish line -- it's 10 yards after. If it comes down to you and me in a kick to the finish, I will demolish you.
As for me, well, I'm still trying to figure out how this will be more fun for: The Adams or myself?
