Eating for optimal health
More advice from a weight-loss doc.
1. Eating well is more important than exercise if you’re focused on weight loss, says Dr. Dave David. “If you had to choose, and couldn’t do both, eating is going to do 10 times more for you.”
2. David says he tells patients to “eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and supper like a pauper.” Healthy snacking is good, too: Small, frequent meals will prevent your body from going into conservation mode.
3. Always chew slowly; it takes 15 minutes for your brain to get the stomach’s memo that it’s full.
