O'Neill: "BioBags are made from biodegradable corn-based plastic thats also free of genetically modified organisms. At roughly $20 per 100 bags (for dog waste bags), they certainly cost a lot more than bags we get free from the grocery store. On the other hand, these free bags are made from fossil fuel, can take as many as 1,000 years to degrade in the landfill, and tend to choke wildlife hardly a bargain when you look at it that way. If theres a food coop in your area, Id suggest encouraging them to buy in bulk, and pass along the savings to you."
Olmsted: "Biobags are biodegradable and compostable. To find online stores where you can buy them in bulk, go to their website.
