Bill Rodgers's running resume is impeccable. He's won the Boston and New York marathons four times each, and continues to run around 25 races each year, according to his website, billrodgers.com. He also oversees the Bill Rodgers Running Center, located in Faneuil Hall.
In 2007, Rodgers slowed down long enough to give Boston.com readers and runners tips for the Boston Marathon.
"I wish you all good luck," Rodgers said in a phone interview. "Running a marathon is still a rare achievement. And Boston is the best marathon."
