What's Your North End Go-To?

As I'm sure is true with many Bostonians, when I first moved to this city the North End was my destination for most dinners out. I tried a good amount of the restaurants in that area during college, but naturally started to explore different areas of the city once I became better acquainted with the restaurant scene. I still get back to the North End from time to time, but now instead of risking a mediocre experience at a tourist trap on Hanover (which I've had many of), I always end up at my tried and true classic Italian restaurant, Lucia.

Lucia has been the most consistent of any North End spot for me, I've never had a bad meal there. They don't change the menu, ever, but I haven't found a better place for a leisurely Sunday lunch of a caprese salad and chicken parm. I've brought countless relatives there on their visits to Boston and constantly recommend it.

My last visit to Lucia was just as fabulous as it always is, but it got me thinking about the newer North End spots that have popped up in the past few years. Am I limiting myself by going to the same restaurant every time? Are there any new places that are worth a try?
