Vermont's specialty food products have a solid reputation for their artisanal integrity and high quality, but its fledgling wine industry remains a largely covert operation.
Keen to blow their own cover, 18 of the state's wineries will host an Open House Weekend Saturday and Sunday, August 20 and 21.
The event is the second statewide event promoted by the members of the Vermont Grape & Wine Council. Activities will vary from vineyard to vineyard, so visitors are encouraged to contact participating properties directly to see what's happening when.
