First a quick programming note: I'll be away from today (Oct. 19) to Monday, Oct. 29 without access to e-mail. Don't worry, I drank ahead for you. The blog will be filled with various reviews and event postings while I'm gone. Cheers! -- Gary

John Harvard's Brewery and Ale House in Cambridge will pour regatta-inspired ales this weekend in honor of the Head of the Charles. They are:

Sculler’s Brew
American golden ale with malt sweetness with a dry finish

Blades of Glory Pale Ale
American style pale ale balanced with a citric hop finish

Collegiate Eights Cask Ale
Cask ales are naturally conditioned, unfiltered real ales served at cellar temperature

John Harvard's is located at 33 Dunster Street in Harvard Square.
