Everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day! Wear your green at these 4 Boston-area weekend events
So much to do, so little time -- and so many event listings and Facebook invites to comb through! Lucky for you, we here at TNGG Boston can also fill in as your social planners. Each week, we’ll feature a few weekend events we think you should check out.* If you know of an upcoming event that might appeal to our audience, email boston@tngg.co with the details.

Thursday, Feb. 15: Hugs for Heroes St. Paddy’s Day Bash. This week’s event listings are full of St. Patrick’s Day fun, and what better way to start off a weekend of revelry than by helping out a good cause? Your $25 ticket gets you free beer and appetizers, and proceeds from the event will help Hugs for Heroes ship care packages to troops overseas. When and Where: 6 p.m.-9 p.m. @ Paddy O’s (33 Union St., Faneuil Hall).
Friday, Feb. 16: Irish Step Dancing Performances. Nothing says St. Patrick’s Day like traditional Irish music, really awesome dresses, and the fun noises step dancers’ shoes make. Shake up your boring ol’ lunch routine and head to South Station, where dancers from the Greene-O’Leary School of Irish Dance, New England’s oldest Irish dancing school, will be on hand to entertain commuters and passers-by. When and Where: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. @ South Station (700 Atlantic Ave., Financial District).
Saturday, Feb. 17: St. Patrick’s Day at The Green Briar. No matter where you go on Saturday, there’s going to be something going on, but if you’re a fan of Irish sports, The Green Briar is the place to be. Rugby games begin at 8:30 a.m., and hurling and football will also be broadcast throughout the day. When the clock strikes 12 (p.m., that is), expect Irish step dancing performances and live music from Lake Shore Drive. When and Where: All day @ The Green Briar Irish Pub (304 Washington St., Brighton).
Sunday, Feb. 18: St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Shake off your Saturday hangover because the celebration must continue! Get a group together and head over to Southie for what’s sure to be a fantastic Sunday Funday. When and Where: Parade begins at 1 p.m. @ West Broadway and Dorchester Avenue (South Boston).
