Recently, my husband and I were at Home Depot in Reading buying a large stack of drywall for a basement home improvement project. We tied it to the roof of the car and crawled down 128. Cars passed us as fast as they could, all except for a tow truck, which stayed behind us. We felt guilty about holding him up and wondered why he didn’t pass. We took an early exit for Woburn center so we could go slower, and he followed. It wasn’t until many miles later, when we turned down our own street, that we realized he’d been escorting us with his rear lights flashing the whole way. With a wave and a U-turn, he was off.
Going the Distance When leaving Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center after visiting a patient in the trauma unit, I did a double take at the elevator. One of the options was a “Bridge to Farr.” I subsequently learned that Farr is a building across the street.
