The dog days have arrived. Man's best friend is in his glory romping on the beach, playing Frisbee in the park, hiking with the family. But even the friskiest pooch needs a little pampering. This Saturday, the pet-friendly Hotel Marlowe hosts the fourth annual Bark & Bath charity dog wash to benefit the Boston chapter of the Trust for Public Land. For $20, your canine will get washed, dried, and beautified. Seem like a lot of dough? It's not, when you tally up how much Bostonians pay for their pooches. - TINA SUTTON
