Jeff Arnold is a senior consultant and account manager at Watson Wyatt Worldwide. Arnold is actively involved with his clients in addressing human capital, benefits and HR technology issues. He has over 20 years experience in consulting and high technology, and has held various management and executive positions for leading consulting firms and software vendors. His professional memberships include Human Resource Leadership Forum (HRLF), International for Human Resource Information Management Association (IHRIM), Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA), MIT Enterprise Forum, and Institute of Management Accountants. Arnold has a BS in Business and Accounting from Gettysburg College and an MBA with High Honors from Boston University.

Peggy Sheedy is a Vice President in Aon Consulting's US Health & Welfare Practice. She is a Team Leader and provides group employee benefit consulting services to middle market clients. She also serves as the Boston Office Compliance Officer. Sheedy has over 25 years of experience in assisting clients. Prior to joining Aon, she worked for a major insurance broker and consultant. She was the Director of Client Service responsible for continuous improvement in customer care, and she was also responsible for the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 certification. Sheedy holds a BS in Mathematics and Economics from Simmons College.

Paula Parnagian is president and founder of World View Services, an international consulting and training firm specializing in diversity, conflict, and organizational effectiveness. Paula is known for her passion in helping her clients create inclusive and thriving workplaces, as well as her ability to create lasting solutions to complex organizational issues. Using a combination of humor, warmth, keen insight and a deep understanding of individuals, organizations, and processes, she quickly and skillfully removes organizational barriers to success. Before founding World View Services in 1990, Paula directed international support and training for Dun & Bradstreet Software. A trained mediator, former math teacher, and founder and member of numerous professional and civic initiatives, Paula has lived, traveled, and worked extensively with companies, throughout the world.

Kari Heistad has been working in the areas of diversity and cross cultural issues for over 20 years. Her passion for helping people to understand, respect and bridge differences is the cornerstone of her work and also the focus of the company she founded Culture Coach International (CCI) . As CEO of CCI Kari leads an international training and consulting team which has more than 100 years of experience in these areas. Kari often uses innovative models and techniques that she and her team have developed to make these topics approachable and applicable to everyday interactions. Kari has spoken before more than 15,000 people as a keynote presenter and trainer and she loves to share her passion about developing respectful and inclusive workplaces.

Roberta Chinsky Matuson is a seasoned human resource specialist with a 20-year track record. She is known for her ability to quickly assess situations and to provide creative, realistic solutions to everyday human resource problems. Matuson is the founder and principal of Human Resource Solutions. The firm specializes in helping organizations align their people assets with business goals. Matuson holds a BS in Human Resources Management from Northeastern University and an MBA in Finance Management from the University of Houston. She is also a certified compensation professional (CCP).

Harry Sobel, PhD is co-founder and president of Sobel & Raciti Associates, Inc., a human resources consulting firm providing Employee Assistance Programs, executive assessments, team interventions, and conflict management. S&R has affiliate offices throughout the US, with primary locations in Wayland, MA and Providence, RI, where Sobel is a licensed psychologist. He has held positions at Brown University, Mass General Hospital, Boston College, the Miriam Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, Department of Psychiatry. From 1981-1985 he hosted a daily, issues-oriented talk show on WRKO Boston. Sobel holds a BA from Lehigh University, an MS from Purdue University, and a PhD from Boston College.

Talent Management

Bob Kelleher is the Chief Human Capital Officer for AECOM, a 45,000 employee professional services firm, with 450 offices throughout the world. In his role as Chief Human Capital Officer, Bob oversees all global Human Resources, Employee Engagement, and Organizational Development programs and initiatives, and is helping leverage Employee Engagement as a cornerstone of the Company's strategy to achieve "Best Place to Work" status. Bob actively participates in various industry roundtables and associations, and is often a guest speaker on the topic of "Employee Engagement" at industry conferences and meetings. In 2008, Bob was honored with the Northeast Human Resources Association's (NEHRA) John Erdlen "5 Star" Award, NEHRA's top award given to Bob for his "efforts to advance the Human Resources Profession by increasing and sustaining high levels of employee engagement to drive improved business results". Chuck Mollor is Managing Partner of MCG Partners, a premier provider of leadership, talent and organizational effectiveness solutions. He is also President of Career Transition Advisors, a prominent provider of career transition, career search, career management and outplacement services. Previously, Mollor was a Managing VP for Right Management, where he was a member of the global strategic initiative and product development teams. Mollor joined Right when it acquired Manchester, where he was SVP of Sales and Marketing and ran Manchester Partners, a global alliance of 100 consulting firms. He graduated from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania's Executive Leadership Program, holds a B.A. from Merrimack College, and has licenses and certifications in executive coaching, several assessments, survey's and sales training.

Jamie Resker is the President and Founder of Employee Performance Solutions. She is also the Performance Management Practice Manager for Work Systems Affiliates International Inc. where she directs the Performance Management Practice Group which specializes in helping organizations improve how managers connect with their employees on performance coaching and how performance feedback messages are delivered to employees. Her experience in Human Resources includes having provided support and consultation in the following areas: organizational development, employee and leadership development, recruitment and retention, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, policy development and administration and budgeting activities. She has partnered with all levels of management to anticipate and effectively support business needs through the creation of, buy-in and implementation of strategic HR initiatives. Jamie earned her bachelor's degree from Emmanuel College in Boston. She is a frequent contributor on performance management topics, and sought-after speaker at industry events such as NEHRA, ASTD, ACEC, AEA and was selected to present at Linkage's Best of Talent Management Summit in December 2008.

Legal & Legislative

David Henderson is a partner in the Litigation Department of Nutter McClennen & Fish, LLP. His practice is concentrated in civil litigation and corporate general counsel with a focus on employment and labor issues. He is a member of the bars of Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. Prior to Nutter, David was a pilot and judge advocate in the United States Air Force. His professional memberships include the Boston Bar Association, NEHRA and Career Collaborative. David received J.D. and LL.M. degrees from Yale Law School, an M.A. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and a B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy.

Krista Green Pratt is a partner in the Labor and Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP's Boston office. Her practice includes the representation of management in employment litigation matters before state and federal courts, at trial and appellate levels, as well as agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the National Labor Relations Board. Ms. Pratt has extensive experience defending employment discrimination cases and employment-related breach of contract and tort claims. She also has expertise in defending wage and hour class and collective actions, including hybrid cases involving both state and federal claims. Ms. Pratt regularly advises companies on a variety of employee relations issues, including employee handbooks and policies, discrimination and harassment, reductions in force, medical leave, discipline and discharge, disability accommodations and workplace audits. An alumna of Cornell, (B.S., 1996), Ms. Pratt earned her J. D. (magna cum laude) from Boston College Law School (1999).

Global HR

Susan Cohen is a partner at the Boston headquarters office of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo. She developed and now manages Mintz Levin's Immigration Practice. Cohen has been recognized by her peers as a top lawyer in her field, as evidenced by awards won for her political asylum work and her listing in the International Who's Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers. An active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), she has chaired and co-chaired a wide range of national AILA committees. Cohen received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Brandeis and her JD, cum laude, from Cardozo Law School, where she served on the Law Review.

Carolyn Fuchs has practiced immigration law in Boston since 1979. From 1984 to 2000, she managed her own law firm and recently resumed her own practice where she focused her practice on securing employment visas and permanent resident status for professionals in academia and industry. Prior to that, Fuchs was a senior partner at Hale and Dorr and chair and founder of its Immigration Group. She has extensive experience representing employers in immigration matters, including before the Departments of Homeland Security, State, Labor and US Consular offices throughout the world. Fuchs served on the PERM Implementation Working Group for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and also served three terms on AILA's national liaison committee with the DOL. In August 2008 she published an article in the Boston Business Journal on the new law which requires employers who are federal contractors to use E-Verify to check employment eligibility. Fuchs received her BA from Hunter College and her JD from Boston College.

Small Business HR

John Koester, PHR is a regional human resources manager with GEI Consultants, one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms with 23 offices in the US. Joining GEI in 2010, Mr. Koester oversees the day to day human resource function for 15 offices in 13 states, and has organization-wide strategic responsibilities for benefits, HRIS, and employee engagement. Prior to GEI he was a member of the senior management team of a small technology company located in Waltham, MA, where initiatives he spearheaded in recruiting, employee engagement and organizational development helped the company achieve profitability for the first time in the firm’s 15 year history. His 18 years of experience working in the human resources field include ten years as a human resources director and sole practitioner within small, industry leading organizations in the non-profit social services and technology industries. Mr. Koester has been an active leader in NEHRA’s small business HR community, and was involved in the creation of the curriculum for the popular HR Basics course. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Keene State College, a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Emmanuel College, and is PHR certified.

Robin Lucier is currently the Human Resources Director at Piantedosi Baking Company in Malden, MA. Her HR career began more than 20 years ago when she was promoted to Assistant General Manager at Filene’s Cambridgeside Galleria. Thrown into unknown territory with little guidance and no HR training, she began studying the discipline. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology and a Master’s in Learning and Development. Robin’s experiences span several industries from banking to restaurant and retail management to manufacturing. She is an active and involved member of the Northeast Human Resources Association. She Co-Chaired the Training SIG, the Small Business SIG, and the Advanced HR Committee, and she was a member of the Professional Development Committee. She also teaches for the HR Basics program. Robin believes that by having an open mind and heart opportunities to learn and grow present themselves daily.

Recruitment & Retention

Drew Hussar is Assistant Vice President - Human Resources at Harvard Management Company, Inc. Drew joined the Corporate Administration team at HMC in 2007. As the AVP of Human Resources, he provides strategic oversight and daily management of the Human Resources function. He and the HR team support approximately 225 employees in Boston. Before joining HMC, Drew spent five years with Harvard University Human Resources in various employment and generalist capacities supporting many units including Central Administration, Harvard Medical School and Alumni Affairs & Development. He entered the Human Resources field through the Employment/Recruiting function. Early in his career, Drew spent time with a top five retained executive search firm. Focusing on candidate development he successfully worked his way to become Director of Research for the Boston office. Originally from Western New York, Drew and his family now reside on the South Shore. He holds a BA from Hobart College and is currently pursuing his Masters in Psychology. He has his PHR from the Human Resources Certification Institute and is also an active member of NEHRA and SHRM.

Beverly Morgan is a Partner in the Human Resources Permanent division at Winter, Wyman focusing on the New England area. Her focus within the HR permanent division has been with establishing relationships with senior-level HR Managers, Directors and VPs. Partnering with progressive HR professionals, she has been able to target HR candidates who have worked with leading organizations and can significantly contribute to the success of an organization. Beverly has a BS in Business from Northeastern University.
