The case of Rev. Ronald H. Paquin

Shortly after the abuse scandal broke in January 2002, the Rev. Ronald H. Paquin admitted in an interview with the Globe that he had molested boys in Haverhill and Methuen over the course of his 15-year ministry. Paquin, who claims that he was raped by a priest in his youth, received parish reassignments even after the Archdiocese of Boston quietly settled claims against him. In December 2002, Paquin pleaded guilty to child rape and was sentenced to 12 to 15 years in jail.
