Fort Point on the rise

NEW ENGLAND IN BRIEF
Patrick takes a dig at rival Reilly
Democratic candidate for governor Deval Patrick slammed Attorney General Thomas Reilly yesterday, alleging his efforts to recover money from the managers of the overbudget Big Dig are inadequate. ''Attorney General Reilly has sole authority over the Big Dig cost-recovery efforts and we've all been waiting for his big decision on how much of our money he would fight for,'' Patrick said in a prepared statement. ''After years of cost overruns and mismanagement of the Big Dig,'' news of Reilly's actions against Bechtel/Parsons Brinckerhoff and two dozen design firms ''will be disappointing to most people.'' Patrick said the $108 million claim against a $14.6 billion project ''seems like only a small down payment for the leak repairs, the padded budgets, and the multiple-year delays.''
