C. Wonder, a lifestyle brand whose online catalog describes the look of one summer ensemble as “perfectly preppy meets Bohemian chic,” is bringing its “cheerful vibe” to the Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham with the opening of a pop-up store, the mall’s operator said.
Not to put too fine a point on it, C. Wonder sees itself as “a shopping destination that transports women into a world of luxury and surprises.”
And, wonder of wonders, the retailer claims it can achieve this remarkable retail feat even for women on a budget. “The average C. Wonder product is under $50,” the press release notes.
More boilerplate on C. Wonder: It’s “a women’s fashion and housewares retailer developed by entrepreneur and investor J. Christopher Burch. The company sells colorful, affordable products including clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories, home decor, housewares, gadgets, electronics, and gifts. C. Wonder specializes in classic items updated with bold colors and patterns.”
According to the Derby Street Shoppes website, C. Wonder’s official opening there is scheduled for July 18.
In a statement, Derby Street Shoppes general manager Carolyn Kennedy said: “We are delighted to have this fun and eclectic retailer join Derby Street Shoppes. We look forward to welcoming customers from all of New England come to see the only C. Wonder store in the Boston region.”
Other retailers at Derby Street Shoppes include American Eagle Outfitters, Apple, Victoria’s Secret, and Whole Foods.
