The broker is Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC, or RBJ, a commercial real estate advisory firm headquartered in Boston. RBJ represented Winthrop Realty Trust in the transaction.
The two-story data center at 15 Shattuck Road is fully occupied by Windstream Corp., a provider of advanced network communications, including cloud computing and managed services, to businesses nationwide.
RBJ said it also brokered the $3.8 million sale of 5 Omni Way in Chelmsford. The 131,000-square-foot office/flex building was purchased by a joint venture of Griffith Properties and Echo Bridge Partners. The two-story building is currently undergoing extensive renovations. It will soon feature a glass atrium lobby as well as modern façade upgrades, including an enhanced window line and improved daylighting.
RBJ said it has been retained as the exclusive leasing agent for the building, and it has already initiated a marketing campaign for the building, alerting prospective tenants that 5 Omni Way is now “Open To Business.”
“The year is off to a solid start with capital markets activity across Greater Boston, and we’re looking forward to it continuing,” Chris Skeffington, RBJ senior vice president , said in a statement.
